They focus on Open-Pollinated varieties, biodynamic and organic practices, and flavor, among many other traits. Dolciva is indeed flavorful, high in sugars, and has proven itself to Cultivating The Commons with its large beautiful Fall roots. Very comparable to the "standard" carrot: Bolero. Given loose and fertile soil, these carrots produce absolutely delicious roots to eat all winter! Harvest after a frost for best flavor.

Days to maturity: 105

Seeds per pack: 250

Germination rate: 59% on 03/25/2025

Planting / harvesting notes

Direct sow as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring through mid-summer.
